Dear reader, it is with a heavy heart that I write this (blah blah), but, here goes nothing.

Back when I started making this comic in early 2012 (Gods, has it been that long already? Fuck me.) I did so for a few reasons. I wanted to stay in practice, for both 3D modelling (with some success – I learned a lot about mesh topology and texturing in the process) and writing (with… less success. I’m not sorry.), I wanted to keep a schedule (mostly successfully) and, of course, as a self-proclaimed artist, I have always loved creating. I’d made comics in Garry’s Mod before, posing ragdolls and taking screenshots of them, inspired by Chris Livingston’s Concerned: The Half-Life and Death of Gordon Frohman, but making it from scratch felt so much more… satisfying.

This has gone on a lot longer than I would ever have anticipated, by about three and a half years, really. But now, I… just don’t have it in me anymore. Now I work in game development, I make 3D models and texture them and everything, I don’t need to keep in practice using this anymore. I don’t need to practice writing, especially this type of writing didn’t really help anyway (it’s vastly different from my usual writing style) and, as anyone who ever played a tabletop game in their lives would notice, I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing anyway. Over time, I grew weary of making these, it became more a chore than anything else, I didn’t really want to do it.

The schedule thing… well, a point was proven. More than proven. I did 350 issues (yes, I know there is one skip) in three years and eight months, averaging just over ninety-five a year. Without any gaps it would’ve been ~104 a year, I think that’s an acceptable margin.

I’m not saying this is the end. It might not be. I honestly can’t say at this point. The story surely isn’t over, but for the time being, I am done telling it. I’d prefer to think of it as an indefinite hiatus, I’ve grown to like the characters and would rather not forsake them entirely for eternity. I’m going to clean up the site a bit, remove things that needn’t be there, bring the archive up to speed…

And then, on to new adventures. Look for my work in a certain company’s games.
