#341: Outside The Wall

And soon inside yet another cell. Gotta catch 'em all, right?

The six frames that make up this issue took just over thirty seconds to render in total. For reference, that’s thrice as fast as it was before. That CPU is amazing. Tested some older scenes to compare the times, one that originally took seven hours was done in just over 26 minutes, whereas two that took 48 and 150 minutes respectively both finished in under a minute. I am loving this.

The Day Watch is obviously the counterpart of the Night Watch, making it another Pratchett reference of sorts. Of course, in Discworld, the Day Watch neither really factors in nor does it do anything, so it’s not mentioned often past the first Watch series book, Guards! Guards!, which introduces what may well be my favourite Discworld character, Samuel Vimes. And I was quite tempted to put the phrase “FABRICATI DIEM PVNC” on that sign as well.
