#51: In the Mist

"Mist" is German for "manure".

He really should have seen that one coming, given that the GM did that, uh, I’m too lazy to count right now. Often enough.
In this game, healing happens in so-called surges, amounting to 25% of the total health points (rounded down). As such, it takes a maximum of five (due to the rounding) surges to get back up to full health from near-death. Every character can, however, only use so many surges per day.
Also, he said something mean. Since I am not a native English speaker, I don’t know exactly where it falls on the rudeness scale, but it sure as hell is an obscenity. In Hot Fuzz they have fees on swearing and on their list, it’s the most expensive word. For added hilarity, it’s also the only word that isn’t censored on said list.

The Technical Bit

Between frames six and seven I added another bunch of vertices to Bubbles’ hood because the robe had an annoying habit of sliding off his head. The fog is Blender-internal, but the outline is added in post-processing and pretty much ignores the fog altogether. As a result, I had to edit the outline of the person in the mist to make it lighter in shade.

For the record, cunt is widely thought to be the most offensive word in the English language.
The more you know. Love the comic so far, keep up the good word! 🙂

Oh well. The more you know. Not that it mattered much, I’m perfectly fine using any expletive. Or just about any, there actually are exceptions.
