A Crappy Eulogy

Ian Fraser Kilmister died yesterday (or today, depending on your time zone), four days after his seventieth birthday.

Kilmister, better known as Lemmy, was the vocalist (I hesitate to use the term singer) of a small, obscure band called Motörhead. And he played Rock and Roll.

I own two Motörhead albums, 1916 and March Ör Die (though never Ace of Spades), one shirt I admittedly haven’t worn in ages because it’s three sizes too large and has a prominent swastika on it, and I have attended three concerts.

Was going to be four, next August.

Lemmy lived fast, but never could get the dying young part down. Personally, I half expected him to outlive us all.

You will be missed, Ian.
